Korea is a country of four seasons where it is a dry, cold winter from November to March, and is the coldest in January. From September to November, autumn in Korea is beautiful and sunny with mild temperature and little rain. Spring, which is around April and May is also very pleasant, but with more rain. It is extremely hot and humid during the summer from July to September.

Incheon International Airport

Located 48 km (30 mi) west of Seoul, the capital and largest city of South Korea, Incheon International Airport is the main hub for Korean Air, Asiana Airlines, Jeju Air, and Polar Air Cargo. The airport serves as a hub for international civilian air transportation and cargo traffic in East Asia. Incheon International Airport is also currently Asia's eighth busiest airport in terms of passengers, the world's fourth busiest airport by cargo traffic, and the world's eighth busiest airport in terms of international passengers in 2010. In 2011, 35,062,376 passengers used the airport.

Nami Island / Namiseom (Naminara Republic)

Internationally known as a cultural and recreational tourist destination focused on imagination and the arts, Nami Island declared its cultural independence on March 1, 2006. Like other independent republics, Naminara Republic has its own national flag, anthem, passport, postage stamps, telephone cards, written characters, papers, and currency. One of the most important national policies of Naminara Republic is the preservation of it unique natural setting and the promotion of a wide variety of cultural and arts programs with popular appeal.

The island, especially the Metasequoia path, was one of the main filming locations of Korean Broadcasting System 2002 television drama series Winter Sonata, starring Bae Yong-joon and Choi Ji-woo. It attracted 270,000 Korean and foreign visitors in 2001. After it was featured in the drama, it attracted 650,000 visitors in 2002. Since then the number of visitors has continued to grow, reaching 2.3 million in 2012.

The Foods

The Korean kitchen is full of hearty soups and stews, traditional porridges and medicinal teas, all perfect options to help keep you warm and healthy this winter. Two of the nation’s most popular stews are Kimchi jjigae (spicy pickled cabbage stew) and Doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew). While it takes some people a while to fully appreciate doenjang (think of miso soup with a lot more character), the fermented soybean is a staple in Korean cuisine. 

During the fermentation process, the liquid form becomes soy sauce while the solid is crushed into paste. When added to an anchovy stock, hot pepper paste, vegetables, garlic and thick slabs of tofu, the result is a delicious and pungent stew.

Mt Sorak National Park ( Seoraksan )

Seoraksan is the highest mountain in the Taebaek mountain range in the Gangwon Province in eastern South Korea. It is located in a national park near the city of Sokcho. After the Hallasan volcano on Jeju Island and Jirisan in the south, Seoraksan is the third highest mountain in South Korea. The Daechongbong Peak of Seoraksan reaches 1,708 metres (5,603 feet). The Taebaek mountain chain is often considered the backbone of the Korean peninsula.

The national park attracts many national and international tourists all year round, but the main season for Seoraksan national park is autumn. The autumn colours in the area are considered amongst the most beautiful in Korea. The red and yellow forest is interrupted by rocks and small mountain streams flow amidst this. During the rainy season in summer—especially after a typhoon—these streams can swell.

Everland Theme Park

Everland Theme Park is located in Yongin, a city in Gyeonggi-do province, South Korea. Everland is South Korea's largest theme park. With 6.6 million visitors, Everland ranked thirteenth in the world for amusement park attendance in 2011. Along with its main attractions, Everland also includes a zoo and a water park known as Caribbean Bay. Everland is operated by Samsung Everland, which is a subsidiary of the Samsung Group.

Seoul Tower

The 236.7m N Seoul Tower, officially the YTN Seoul Tower and commonly known as the Namsan Tower or Seoul Tower, is acommunication and observation tower located on Namsan Mountain (243m)in central Seoul, South Korea. It marks the highest point in Seoul 

Seoul Tower offers panoramic views of Seoul and the surrounding areas. The view is so stunning that many consider Seoul Tower the best tower in Asia. 

                                      

2002 World Cup Stadium

The Seoul World Cup Stadium, also known as Sangam Stadium, is located in Seongsan-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, South Korea. It was built for the 2002 FIFA World Cup and opened in 2001. It is currently the second largest stadium in South Korea after Seoul Olympic Stadium. It was designed to represent the image of a traditional Korean kite. The stadium has a capacity of 66,806 seats, including 816 seats for VIP, 754 seats for press and 75 private Sky Box rooms, each with a capacity for 12 to 29 persons.
